Fraud Watch

Fraud is something that can happen at any time but there are ways to avoid it and reduce the damage. At Cash Pug we offer impartial fraud advice and support to help protect yourself.

Fraud watch

Unfortunately fraud happens every day and can affect anyone. The signs aren't always obvious with most people unaware that they have been targeted or been victims of fraudulent activity. Here at Cash Pug we've compiled a fraud protection guide you can use to help protect yourself.

Our guide covers the following:

  • What Cash Pug will ask from you
  • What actions to take if you suspect you've been targeted
  • Who you should report the suspected fraud to

Please note

Nobody from Cash Pug or any of financial partners will ever contact you and ask you to send money before you can receive your loan.

What can you do?

If you believe you've been a victim of fraud activity or need advice on what to do to help prevent fraud, here are our recommendations and what actions you can take.

1. Stop sending money

If you have been targeted, the first thing you should do is stop paying any more money. Inform your bank immediately and cancel any unauthorised transactions.

2. Report it

Once your bank account and money is safe, it's critical that you report it to the relevant body so that it can be investigated and prevent further fraudulent activities. Please contact one of these organisations to discuss your case.

Further support

You can also contact the FCA directly if you suspect you have been a victim of fraud.
